1. The title of our next essay is "The Last Meow." What do you think this essay will be about and why? In this pre-reading exercise, answer both these questions. Each answer should be at least 30 words.
2. How important are pets in your life and in the lives of the people you know?
1. Because of the title, we believe that the article is going to be about cats, and because it says "The last meow" we think the cat will meet his death somewhere in the article.
2. My dog is very important to me, and I think of him as part of my family. We had him since he was a puppy and I don't know what I would do with out him. Simba will always be my best friend and that's how important pets are in my life.
